Join us on November 30th for Stephen Fearing at 60 – A Celebration, featuring an array of friends and fans of the Canadian music legend performing his songs, followed by a solo set from Stephen himself. Hosted by the CBC’s Tom Allen, with performances by a still-evolving list including Suzie Vinnick, Jason Fowler, Kathryn Rose, Jason Wilson, Tannis Slimmon, Kurt Swinghammer, Shawna Caspi and more, this promises to be a very special, one-of-a-kind night of music and love.
“Some people just think of Stephen as the good-looking one from Blackie and The Rodeo Kings”, says show organizer Luke Jackson (Songs Of Nick Drake, Roncy Rocks etc). “This is an opportunity to celebrate a man who has given so much to the Canadian music community, and cast an eye on his rich, deep solo catalogue of nearly four decades of music.”
Stephen has been involved in choosing who’s invited to perform at the show, but doesn’t know which songs anybody has picked to play. He must submit his proposed setlist to Luke for editing, to avoid duplication. “This is going to be a classic Hugh’s Room concert” says Stephen, “and we couldn’t be more to delighted to be mounting it at the new home of Hugh’s Room Live!”.
